Zausmer-Frisch Associates Inc. was started in 1972 by partners Garson Zausmer and Robert Frisch. In 1993, interior designer Sheila Aggarwal and architect Raymond Scruton became partners, and the firm's name was changed to Zausmer, Frisch, Scruton & Aggarawal Inc. The firm has completed the planning of over 100 million square feet of commercial and multi-family space since its inception. 

ZFS&A is made up of two distinct divisions. The design division is composed of architects, interior designers and support personnel. The second dividsion is a full-service general contracting firm.
ZFS&A has provided both design/build and design-only services to its clients. The majority of projects the firm constructs, it also designs. However, many of ZFS&A's clients are contractors, developors, and organizations that provide their own construction. Projects have included medical, hospitality, indsutrial, retail, fitness, mulit-family houseing and commercial space.
ZFS&A has the ability to provide every aspect of project planning from initial concept development through actual construction utilizing "in-house"personnel. The firm has a reputation for creativity, attention to detail and the ability to meet budget and schedule goals.
